Flying Cross

Description:

This airman is not only an excellent role model to everyone in Unknown Soldiers, but goes above and beyond the call of duty. With his time and effort, he not only proves to be a valued member of the Airforce, but deserves to be honored and respected by all airman and clan members alike.

Issue Reason:

For the last year and a half, 1stSgt.Basman has been First Sergeant of Air Force. In that time I have had the opportunity to watch him grow and mature in his position. He has shown great enthusiasm for his duties since he became an NCO and has been the catalyst for his continued improvement. He legitimately wants to become a better NCO every day. His determination to make this branch and this clan the best that it can be is unrivaled. I would now like to share some quotes from his subordinate NCO's. The 1stSgt has been instrumental in the AETC ensuring through all changes smooth operation with a careful and gentle guiding hand. When I was a new recruit I had the 1stSgt to guide me through my early stage in the clan and I could always count on him to help me if I ever had a problem. Now as an NCO, My respect and gratitude towards him have multiplied. Shirt has been a role model to the entire branch since the day I joined. I have always tried to model my decision making on W.W.S.D. (what would shirt do). He is always willing to lend a hand and is a model NCO First Sergeant is the heart of our branch, and by that I mean he is literally our heart...We need to recognize our heart because we will never appreciate him enough until one day he moves on and we talk about him in fond memories like we talk about a select few. 1stSgt.Basman truly is the Heart of Air Force, and rightfully deserves this award. I am honored to award Shirt with the Air Force's highest award, the Flying Cross. AIRRAH

Issue Reason:

Beyond that, the following members are being recognized for their outstanding leadership in driving the Recruiting efforts that have taken the clan so far in the last several weeks. It's not easy to coordinate and organize a large group of people, and keep them focused on a single objective such as growing the clan to over 100 members. It takes planning, commitment, and a strong sense of leadership to keep it all on track and successful. These members will be receiving the Joint Service Achievement Award for their efforts in leading and setting the example for Recruiting.

"The 1stSgt has been an instrumental part of the Air Force's turn around lately. Our attendance and participation, flight leadership, training, and general branch enthusiasm is higher now than in a long time and that is due in large part to 1stSgt.Basman setting a great tone with the new recruits, helping new flight leaders and trainers learn their roles, and even in game being willing to take on whatever role is needed to help make practices work better." - SSgt.Jinxy

Airforce Service Award(issued 4 times)

Description:

This aviator has proven to be a valued member and an excellent role model who has contributed significant time and effort in service of the Air Force.

Issue Reason:

1stSgt.Basman to receive the Air Force Service Award . 1stSgt.Basman, as First Sergeant of Air Force and my second in command, has been as loyal a member I've ever had the privilege to work with. Affectionately known as 'Shirt', the 1stSgt works tirelessly to ensure the success of the branch and its members. No matter the issue, he stands by my side, always willing and able to do whatever it takes to solve them. I couldn't ask for a better First Sergeant and friend. I consider myself, and our branch, lucky to have such a loyal, dedicated, hardworking leader among us. It is with great pride and respect that I award 1stSgt.Basman his 4th Air Force Service Award.

Recruit Training Service Award

Description:

This award goes to those BCT/AIT MTI's who go above and beyond their normal duties, sacrificing a large amount of their time to make sure new members get trained to the highest standards. This MTI is an expert at making sure new recruits are informed, they always follow up, and without fail are available to any new member.

Issue Reason:

the following two members are currently the only ones to have Master 3s in BCT and along with that, they have done more than enough for the BCT department. Whether it be running BCTs, supervising them, or just being there to help, thank you for all the work you have done you have done!

Issue Date:

Civilian Service Award(issued 3 times)

Description:

This award goes to those that sacrifice their time to gather new recruits for Unknown Soldiers. Actions may include (but not subject or limited to) talking to and inviting public players in-game, responding to and inviting unregistered users on =US= clan forums, posting advertisements in approved places, etc.

Issue Reason:

Awarding an entire department is not something that is usually done, for the simple reason that rarely does such a large group of people all step up their game and maintain a standard that is not only outstanding, but has to be recognized and awarded. That being said, for their hard work, dedication, and support of the Unknown Soldiers, Intel/PA is awarding the Recruiting Dept the Civilian Service Medal. With their efforts, the Unknown Soldiers has reached well over 100 members and is on track to keep growing. Keep up the amazing work!

Expeditionary Medal(issued 2 times)

Description:

This soldier focuses on the objective to win the match for his team. He takes careful consideration of his surroundings, and holds flags and/or detonator positions against all odds.

Issue Reason:

SFC.MissMayhem has recommended 1stSgt.Basman for the Expeditionary Medal I would like to recommend 1stSgt.Basman for the Expeditionary Medal for events taking place during the CTF Sunday Night Op on 11JAN2015. Instead of doing the "fun" thing and pushing up with the rest of the team, 1stSgt.Basman, along with PFC.StayDown, volunteered to stay back and defend our flag. Knowing our flag was safe in their hands allowed us to make pushes with confidence, and their communication alerted us when we needed to come back. In the truest display of teamwork, they faced off valiantly against push after push by some of the finest members in the clan. The match was extremely intense and wound up in a tie, and I have no doubt that if it weren't for the actions of the PFC and 1st Sergeant, the game would have went a different way entirely
